7th Tradition

The 7th of the 12 traditions read “Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.” AA groups are not allowed to solicit outside funds. However, they do have expenses such as rent, coffee, literature, and chips. Therefore, members are expected (though not required) to contribute monetarily regularly during meetings.
